Williams Lake is a beautiful place to live, let's keep working together to improve it and have our community thrive!
Want to know what I'm about? Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, this great interview covers topics like housing, what's there to do for kids under 18, crime and mental health issues, and retaining professionals in Williams Lake.
With over a decade of experience in Williams Lake as a business partner, volunteer, and award winning illustrator, Jazmyn brings practicality, integrity, and a passion for service to the table.
Though originally from Kelowna, Jazmyn has proudly called Williams Lake home for the past decade and her husband Terry Lyons’ family has lived in the Cariboo for several generations.
Jazmyn previously served as Chair of the Downtown Williams Lake Business Improvement Association from 2017 to 2020, and from 2017 to 2021 as Chair of the Potato House Project, leading annual events downtown such as the Easter Festival, Downtown Halloween Trick ‘R Treat, and Downtown Winter Lights Festival. She seeks to build on these valuable experiences in her campaign for city council, growing Williams Lake’s positive reputation and collective spirit.
As her chosen home, Williams Lake is a source of pride for Jazmyn. This campaign is an opportunity to listen to and bring forward the voices of those who want to grow that pride in the community. After operating a business during the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain disruptions, and a major inflation crunch, Jazmyn knows the challenges facing the community, particularly for small businesses and non-profits.
Williams Lake needs accountable and attentive leadership going forward. This means helping promote Williams Lake as a welcoming and inclusive place. Join Jazmyn’s campaign today and help to bring renewed leadership to Williams Lake.
